ZONE 3 CANDIDATES
Caleb Tidwell is a father of three, a leader in the construction industry, and a youth athletics coach.
Tidwell is running to “stand up for parental rights” and advocate for “more transparency.”
Tidwell supports the “Parent Bill of Rights” introduced to the Tennessee Legislature in February.
Tidwell is a member of the Rutherford County Republicans.
Tidwell says that he believes in the school system that “typifies excellence” and has a “true vision.”

Jason Scales is a father, Pastor at Believes Faith Fellowship, author, and youth character coach.
Scales is running for School Board as an Independent.
Scales’ wife, Barbara, is the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Motlow State Community College.
Scales says he wants to “create a great environment for all children to succeed, give parents a voice, and be an advocate for administrators, teachers, and school support staff.”

The August 4th election will select 4 of the School Board’s 7 total seats. Incumbent Tammy Sharp is running unopposed in Zone 1, and candidate Katie Darby is running unopposed in Zone 4. Only Zone 3 and Zone 7 are contested races.
